Zoloft Uses?
Zoloft is prescribed to treat depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, panic disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder (social phobia), and posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is also given for other conditions as well.

Zoloft Directions?
You should follow instructions carefully while taking Zoloft. Take your pills with a full glass of water. You can choose whether or not to eat when taking Zoloft. This medication will work the best if you take the pills at the same time every day. It may take several weeks of Zoloft therapy before you can feel a difference. Don??t stop taking this medication too suddenly or without your doctor??s permission, or you may experience negative side effects.

Zoloft Side Effects?
Stop taking Zoloft and contact your doctor immediately or seek emergency medical treatment if you experience any of the following: an allergic reaction (difficulty breathing; closing of the throat; swelling of the lips, tongue, or face; or hives); an irregular heartbeat or pulse; low blood pressure (dizziness, weakness); high blood pressure (severe headache, blurred vision); or chills or fever. If you experience any of the following less serious side effects, continue taking Zoloft and talk to your doctor: headache; tremor, nervousness, or anxiety; nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, or changes in appetite or weight; sleepiness or insomnia. Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Zoloft Warnings?
You should not stop taking Zoloft without talking to your doctor. You may need to take Zoloft for up to four weeks before you feel the full benefit of the medication. Stopping suddenly may cause negative side effects. You should not share your medication with anyone.

Zoloft Drug Interactions?
Never take Zoloft if you??ve taken monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as tranylcypromine (Parnate), isocarboxazid (Marplan), or phenelzine (Nardil), anytime in the last fourteen days, since a potentially fatal drug interaction can possibly occur. A serious condition can also happen if you take pimozide (Orap) in addition to Zoloft. Many other medical products can trigger drug interactions. It??s important that your doctor is aware of all medicines and over the counter products you are using, including herbal remedies. Never take the Oral Concentrate version of Zoloft if you also use disulfiram (Antabuse). The oral version contains alcohol, which can react with disulfiram (Antabuse). Talk to your doctor or pharmacist to make sure your medications are safe and to check on any new medications.

Zoloft Missed Dose?
If you miss a Zoloft dose, take it as soon as you remember, but return to your regular dosing after that. Never double your doses.

Zoloft Storage?
Store Zoloft out of the reach of children. It should be kept in a cool, dark place.
